Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor, producer and son of reggae artist, Freddie McGregor, has been signed to EMI Music Publishing. The 17-year old who is responsible for the hit dancehall rhythms such as "Red Bull and Guinness" , "Tremor", Dark Again and has worked with artists such as Vybez Kartel and Sean Paul, will now have the opportunity to be recognized on an international scale.
EMI Music Publishing operates worldwide and not only represents producers but also artists such as Kanye West, Beyonce, James Blunt and Alicia Keys. With this type of exposure, McGregor anticipates an increase in his popularity and international stardom, he reports to the star, "It's great, it's a totally different side of the business, they have practically everyone signed to them. So far, it's already working, it has opened doors. Internationally there are a lot of stuff going on but, I can't get into the details."
