Rapper Lil Wayne was recently arrested in Boise, Idaho for possessing a controlled substance and for a felony fugitive charge because of two missed court hearings.
After performing at Qwest Arena on Friday, October 5, 2007, he was arrested but then released Saturday on a bail of $20, 000. His lawyer states that the arrest was a 'misunderstanding' and filed for an emergency release orderon the grounds that the rapper was not aware of the court dates.
He said, "When someone's this successful, there are chances things will fall through the cracks...They were under the impression that those charges had either been resolved or dismissed."
