Sean Paul takes home six trophies at the International Reggae and World Music Awards



At the 26th International Reggae and World Music Awards(IRWMA) that was held on May 5 at the Apollo Theater in New York, Sean Paul was the top winner taking home six trophies after being nominated for the Bob Marley Award for Entertainer of the Year, Recording Artist of the Year, Best Song, Best Crossover Song, Best Song Writer and Most Popular Hip Hop Entertainer.
Other winners were Tanya Stephens for Best Female Vocalist, Macka Diamond for Best Female DJ, Capleton for Most Outstanding Stage Personality, Buju Banton for Best Male DJ and Best Album/CD "Too Bad" and Luciano Most Cultural/Educational Entertainer.

The winners also included:

Most Popular Sound System/Selector: Toni Mattheron

Best Calypso/Soca Entertainer:Machel Montano

Best Music Video: "Ghetto Story" Baby Cham

Most Improved Entertainer: Da'Ville

Concert of the Year: Irie Jamboree

Producer of the Year: Don Corloen

Promoter of the Year: Squeeze "Link Up Media"

Most Promising Entertainer: Tarrus Riley

Most Outstanding Band/Group: Morgan Heritage

Most Outstanding Contribution to World Music: Ziggy Marley

Most Consistent Entertainer: Byron Lee and the Dragonaires
