JUST IN CASE YOU NEVER HEARD

Rachel Ritfield pictured above with Akon, was supposed to be his fifth wife but turned him down after she realized that she wouldn't be number one in his life. According to reports, the Nigerian born artiste practices polygamy and Ritfield, after hearing that he was expecting another child, decided to break off their engagement. In an interview, Ritfield said, "The reality check really came when Akon told me he had his fifth child with one of his wives. For the first few months I got completely freaked out because even though I knew he had other wives, I never really thought about him being with them because his main attention was always on me - or so I thought."


Shaggy performed a free concert at the Apple Store in Manhattan, NY on Wednesday November 7, 2007 , to promote his album "Intoxication" which should be in stores today.

is planning to release his very own liquor that will be called Vybez Rum. The rum will be the DJ's first licensing agreement and is expected to be available in 2008.

Stephen McGregor Signed to EMI

Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor, producer and son of reggae artist, Freddie McGregor, has been signed to EMI Music Publishing.

The 17-year old who is responsible for the hit dancehall rhythms such as "Red Bull and Guinness" , "Tremor", Dark Again and has worked with artists such as Vybez Kartel and Sean Paul, will now have the opportunity to be recognized on an international scale.

EMI Music Publishing operates worldwide and not only represents producers but also artists such as Kanye West, Beyonce, James Blunt and Alicia Keys. With this type of exposure, McGregor anticipates an increase in his popularity and international stardom, he reports to the star, "It's great, it's a totally different side of the business, they have practically everyone signed to them. So far, it's already working, it has opened doors. Internationally there are a lot of stuff going on but, I can't get into the details."
