Mavado's recent birthday bash which was held in Temple Hall Estate, came to an abrupt end when police and soldiers showed up and started searching and detaining people who were in the crowd. According to reports, no arrests were made but the show unfortunately could not go on after their arrival. However, Mavado is expected to continue with his festivities in NY. The artist will be holding another birthday event at Amazura night club on December 14, 2007, with artists such as Munga, Busta Rhymes, Tony Matterhorn and Bounti Killa making appearances.

Upcoming artist Demarco, who is best known for his hit song "Fallen Soldiers", was signed for three album deals with Koch Records. Demarco is expected to do a collaboration with Foxy Brown and will be re-shooting his video for "Fallen Soldiers".
